EAGLE ROCK (CBS) — A fire broke out in a home in Eagle Rock, possibly injuring the residents’ pets, a city fire spokesman said.
No human injuries resulted from the blaze that was reported at 3:37 p.m. The fire ignited in a single-story home in the 1900 block of W. Chickasaw Ave. near Eagle Rock Boulevard, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The fire gave off heavy smoke but a team of nearly 40 firefighters extinguished the blaze within a half hour.
Humphrey said crews are now investigating possible pet injuries.
