Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning?

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — This Saturday, May 21, is Judgment Day.

That is, according to the Oakland-based Family Radio Worldwide and host Harold Camping.

It’s called “the Rapture,” and his devout followers are prepared to get to Heaven with Jesus leading the way.

Camping, 89, has followers from California to China, his show is translated into 48 different languages on 150 different radio stations.

Camping believes the Rapture will take place Saturday, when true believers make it to Heaven. He also says the world will end on October 21, 2011.

In 1994, Camping also told followers that Christ would return on Sept. 6 of that year…he says now he made a mathematical error.

As Juan Fernandez reported on the KCAL9 News at 10 p.m. Friday, Camping’s latest predictions are causing many to reflect —and drawing fire from many prominent Christians, as well.

In moments like this is better just not to have any opinion, because when we speak we have to do it with spiritual understanding not with a carnal mind. Out of all this is better to put our life in order. Remember when people mocked on Noah? and then the global flood happened. Blessings

i agree with u 100% its inpossible to figure out when the world ends all this talk of ppl who belive this gets me so riled up this is b.s the world will end 1000 n 1000 years away but all i know its not any time soon

    3. Chris Alexander says:

Jesus said that anyone who takes the mark will “wish he was never born” do not LIE to people man! You obviously have not read your Bible like all Christians are told to do. Jesus is the Word.
DO NOT TAKE THE MARK or you will NOT go to heaven. Period.

Furthermore, Jesus said: “no man will know the day or hour when the Son of Man (Jesus) will come again. Not even the Son, but God the Father only.”

How dare all of you spread such obvious lies?

Jesus also said: that He will come “like a thief in the night” – that is, when nobody is expecting.
Read your Bibles and prepare yourselves people. For you do not know the day or hour when He will come.

      1. The Real Chris~ says:

Can someone PLEASE explain to me …where exactly is HEAVEN that you Christians keep talking about???

    4. james wood says:

wrong you take the mark beast you go to hell

    5. Bluesguitar777 says:

Brian – You couldn’t possibly be any more INCORRECT. Anyone who accepts the mark of the beast WILL NOT enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I, too am a Christian. I do not believe the May 21st supposed Rapture date. Jesus said no one but the Father knows the hour. This Camping guy is a lunatic. But please do not be deceived by Satan. If you accept the mark, you WILL NOT be allowed into Heaven. That’s quite clear in the Bible.

  2. Thomas Forcade says:

These “Rapture Parties” are just a good reason to party. But to be serious, there is much more that has to happen before the end of the world as we know it.We are,i believe, living in the end times. But to say that on may 21,2011,we will have a huge earthquake that will destroy the earth, based on some things said in the bible, and taken out of context,is just nonsense. But have fun everyone, and remember:Right now you are being tested. You will go through many hardships, and you will see people in their true colors. The coming times will not be fun,but they were never meant to be fun. They are coming to teach you so you will not allow the same things to happen that led you to this world we live in today.

    1. Susie Ds says:

i kind of agree with u just a lil but y belive something from the bible i know thers diffrent belives but y belive in something that might not even be possible theres no proof of this the world is not gonna end anytime soon it will come one day but not in this century it will end in 1000 n 1000 years away

  3. Sun says:

Im a Christian and I dont support what hes doing. The Bible says that noone knows the day nor the hour when the Rapture is going to happen but yet he claims that its going to happen this Saturday. This does nothing but just open the door for more unbelievers because they think that we are intuned with God and when Christians say these things, they do listen but yet when it doesnt happen, they just say “Oh those stupid Christians, see I told you God aint real” stuff like that. Even though we dont know when the Rapture is going to happen, we do need to get ready and Repent of our sins and ask God to come and save us because we are so close.

  4. wlaphotog says:

Times like this I’m glad I’m Jewish

  5. Borsia Novak says:

So I guess he is no longer accepting donations.

  6. Bernice Thomas says:

He should open his Bible and read the scripture that states that no man, not even the angels know when the end is coming. He obviously has some type of mental problem. Remember folks: Only a fool follows another fool.

    1. Susie Ds says:

      hahahaha yeah thats so true

  7. Susie Ds says:

i dont know if i should belive this non-sense or not im confused man y cant we just forget it n wait till it comes it self we dont need to be warn cause is better not to be panic at least u wont die in a panic just a surprise

  8. The Realist says:

This man is just a false teacher and is helping to spread more doubt about the living Bible. Every person will have their free will to choose to believe in Jesus or reject him, which is the one sin that will seal your fate for all of eternity. May the Lord have mercy on your Soul.

  9. georgina says:

  13. Tina says:

I’m a believer in Christ! However I disagree with Howard no one knows when the Rapture will take place but God himself. We should always be ready as were not guaranteed tomorrow! May peace be with you and Blessings upon all….

  14. nek says:

Gee that just figures. The world is going to end Saturday and I already bought lottery tickets for Saturdays drawing. And with my luck I’ll have all 6 numbers correct. Dang it!

  15. diane says:

you need to get a life and stop scaring alll those people….

  16. Thomas Forcade says:

Well, without meaning to,Harold Camping has helped fullfill part of the bible prophecy. He is one of the false prophets spoken of in Revelations.
