RIVERSIDE (AP) — A 10-year-old Southern California boy is due to appear in court on charges that he murdered his white supremacist father.
The blonde-haired boy who was being raised by his father and stepmother is expected to appear in juvenile court in Riverside on Wednesday.
Authorities say the boy shot 32-year-old Jeff Hall with a handgun early Sunday morning May 1.
Authorities believe the shooting was intentional, but declined to comment on a motive.
Hall was widely known as a regional leader of the National Socialist Movement who led rallies at a day labor site and synagogue. He lost a bid last year for a local water board that worried many residents of the suburbs east of Los Angeles.
The boy’s attorney has said he is considering an insanity defense.
