Police: Lancaster Robber Followed Elderly Bank Customers Home

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Lancaster man who allegedly followed elderly bank customers back to their homes and robbed them was behind bars on Tuesday, according to a sheriff's spokesman.

Lee Jones, 41, is suspected in at least four holdups, sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker said.

Jones was arrested Friday on suspicion of an unrelated crime, then linked to two robberies in Glendale and one each in Acton and Stevenson Ranch, Parker said.

"The suspect watched the elderly victims make withdrawals and followed them to their residences," Parker said. "As the victims got out of their car, the suspect approached them and stole the withdrawal using physical force."

Detectives seized a black Dodge Charger believed to have been used in the Stevenson Ranch crime, which occurred Thursday, he said.
