Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 17)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — The steady stream of moisture will flow into Southern California Tuesday with rain in the morning.

We are looking at 1/2" to 1.00" of rain from this system and one more wave of moisture that will move in on Wednesday. This isn't a major storm system by any stretch of the imagination, but it is so late in the season, it makes this a news worthy event. We will also see 3" to 6" of snow above 5500'.

Winds are already kicking up and we do have wind advisories for the mountains and deserts of the viewing area. Temperatures will run below average for the remainder of the work week except for Friday, when we may see a little bump. There is another trough on tap for late this weekend that could give us drizzle on Sunday morning.

Coastal - mid 60s
Basin - low to mid 60s
Valleys - mid 60s
Deserts - low 60s
Mountains - low 40s
