Can A Work Spouse Wreck Your Happy Home?

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — If the rumors are true, Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a child out of wedlock with someone who didn't just work with or for him...but someone who worked in his home.

Every day, spouses trot off happily to work and spend eight hours with co-workers.

How close is too close for comfort? And can a so-called work spouse, someone your partner leans on, confides in and looks up to...friends without the benefits?....can they pose a danger to a good relationship on the homefront?

More and more experts wonder. We are working in the office more...and even taken more work home. If we're that obsessed with work, say the experts, might we start becoming obsessed with the feel-good person down the hall or in the next cubicle...?

In a recent study, at least one-third of all workers said they had a friend at work they would consider a spousal equivalent.

Workplace affairs, obviously, are not new. But what happens if your spouse becomes involved, even emotionally, with someone they work with ... can that hurt your relationship?

Depends on who you ask. Of course, while some experts believe it is good for your spouse to have someone at work they can talk to and confide in, others say the chance of people crossing that line can be great.

Will that innocent back rub or intimate talk lead to...something else. Possible.

Think not? Ask the Governor...
