SANTA ANA (CBS) — Authorities Monday announced the arrest of a male caregiver accused of sexually assaulting a an elderly woman in her home.
Domingo Rabino, 50, of Mission Viejo was arrested on Sunday and booked on suspicion of assault with intent to commit rape, Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
Amormino declined to say in which community the woman lives, saying only that it was in southern Orange County.
Rabino was released after posting $100,000 bail.
Amormino said he had worked as an in-home caregiver for the woman’s husband from last August until his death in February. Rabino was recently hired by the family to care for the woman who is in her 80s. According to Amormino , she told her son that he had assaulted her.
Rabino has been working as an in-home healthcare provider at various locations and authorities urged other possible victims to call (866) TIP-OCSD.
