LONG BEACH (AP) — Long Beach police say an officer shot and wounded a 20-year-old man involved in a domestic dispute.
Sgt. Rico Fernandez said Sunday the officer was dispatched to a home late Saturday on a report of couple fighting.
What prompted the officer to open fire was not disclosed, but Fernandez says the man was uncooperative. It’s unclear if he was armed.
City News Service reports the wounded man is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. His name has not been released.
