Tommy's Original Celebrates 65 Years In Business This Weekend

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — This Sunday only, to celebrate 65 years in business, burger giant Original Tommy's will give a one-day combo deal (cheeseburger and Coca-Cola for $.65) at the Beverly and Rampart location.

Robert Casteneda, Tommy's director of operations, brought Tommy's Food Truck (aka Shack on Wheels) by KCAL 9 News at 2 p.m. Friday to get the party started.

Kaj Goldberg (he gets all the fun assignments!) hung out on the truck, heard about Tommy's history (from its original location, there are now 33 restaurants around the Southland) and all about the party! (That's all good, Kaj...but did you get us some chili? With the cheddar?)

The party will be held at the original location on May 15, between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. You can buy t-shirts and there will also be live music.

(PS: Kaj, don't forget the chili cheese fries.)
