2 Jurors Excused For Discussing Murder-For-Hire Trial
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A juror and alternate juror have been removed from the Los Angeles trial of a man accused of arranging his wife's killing at a parking garage.
The Ventura County Star says the panelists were excused from James Fayed's trial on Wednesday because they improperly discussed the case.
Prosecutors claim Fayed paid $25,000 to arrange the death of Pamela Fayed, who was stabbed in a Century City garage in 2008. Authorities say the Moorpark man was afraid she would get up to $1 million in their divorce proceedings.
Fayed could face the death penalty if convicted of murder and conspiracy.
Three other men have pleaded not guilty to taking part in the killing.
