Woman Rescued From Burning Car In Riverside

RIVERSIDE (AP) — A woman rescued from a burning car in Riverside has been hospitalized in critical condition.

Riverside police say witnesses saw a 2002 Ford Explorer speeding on Canyon Crest Drive at around 10 p.m. Tuesday when the driver lost control on a curve and hit a traffic signal pole.

The car burst into flames and the driver was trapped inside until firefighters arrived and rescued her.

Her name hasn't been released.
