Mother Arrested After Toddler Nearly Drowns In Moreno Valley Pool

MORENO VALLEY (CBS) — A woman has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after her 2-year-old daughter fell into a swimming pool, according to Sheriff’s Detective Duke Viveros.

The toddler is listed in critical condition after being left unattended “for an undetermined period of time,” according to sheriff’s Sgt. David Knudson.

The girl fell into backyard swimming pool in the 11800 block of Ivy Lane at 5:52 p.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

She was taken to Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley with critical injuries.

    wow that’s a bold move! is this new?…because there were a lot of kids I knew growing up who drown or nearly drown back in the days when they were pushing for places to put gates up around thier backyard pools.
