MONTEREY PARK (CBS) — Authorities Tuesday sought public help to solve the shooting death of an 82-year-old woman in Monterey Park.
Xiyong Yong Huang was found dead at about 4:20 p.m. April 29 at her apartment in the 300 block of Huntington Avenue, according to the sheriff’s department. They say the suspect broke into Huang’s apartment, beat and strangled her, before she was killed. Jewelry and a purse were also stolen.
Authorities released a sketch of the victim’s stolen jewelry and purse in a news conference Tuesday. Anyone knowing more about the crime was urged to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau, (323) 890-5500.
