James Cuno Named President Of LA's Getty Trust

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Trustees have announced that James Cuno will become president and chief executive of the J. Paul Getty Trust in Los Angeles.

The announcement was made Monday. The 60-year-old Cuno has been president and Eloise W. Martin director of the Art Institute of Chicago since 2004. He will take over at the Getty on Aug. 1.

Cuno replaces James Wood, who died in July 2010.

Before coming to the Getty, Wood also served as president and director of the Art Institute of Chicago.
