$50,000 Reward Offered In Victorville Hit-And-Run


SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for killing an 18-year-old Victorville woman in a hit-and-run accident in January.

The Los Angeles Police Department is looking for the driver of an extended-cab Ford pickup truck that killed
Sharniece Jeter, 18, of Victorville, back in January as she crossed Figueroa Street, near 66th Street at 10:30 p.m..

The suspect vehicle, a beige or gray Ford F-150 or F-250 pickup with tinted windows, was going north on Figueroa when it struck the woman, witnesses told police. The driver was described only as Hispanic man with a beard.

Anyone with more information as to the whereabouts of the truck or the name of the driver was asked to call police at (213)485-7336.
