Woman Arrested After Crash Involving Sheriff's Patrol Car
COMMERCE (AP) — Investigators say a woman whose vehicle crashed into a parked Los Angeles sheriff's patrol car has been arrested for investigation of drunken driving and felony hit-and-run.
Lt. Mark Richards says a sheriff's deputy was running a license plate check on a vehicle in Commerce at about 1:50 a.m. when the woman's car sideswiped his patrol car, which was disabled.
A short time later, Pico Rivera station deputies spotted the suspect's car and 22-year-old Brittany R. Lagos was arrested and booked at the East Los Angeles jail.
The deputy complained of some pain and was examined at a hospital and released.
