Mother's Day Advice From 'Kardashians' Mom: Forget Keeping Up

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Whether it's cooking and cleaning or commuting and chauffeuring, a mother's duties are never truly finished, with so many moms putting the needs of their family and friends before their own.

That's why one of America's most famous moms, Kris Jenner of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" has some words of advice for moms this Mother's Day: take some time for yourself.

"When I got to be about 40 years old, things start to change - and they change really fast," Jenner told KNX 1070.

The do-it-all mother of reality TV star and full-time celebrity Kim Kardashian said there are a few practices that can ensure even the most frazzled mom can feel rejuvenated.

"Take care of yourself, eat right, exercise, get lots of sleep, and take care of your skin," said Jenner. "When you look your best, you feel your best."

But even as the role of the multitasking working mom becomes the rule more than the exception, Jenner reminded that downtime is often the best way to stay focused and fresh.

Otherwise, she said, it's easy to go from "Mom Of The Year" to "Debbie Downer".

"When I do get down, and I get tired for sure, I just take one day at a time," Jenner said.
