Dodgers' Ethier Brings 29-Game Streak To New York

NEW YORK (AP) -- Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier is back in the starting lineup for Friday night's game against the New York Mets.

Ethier is carrying a 29-game hitting streak into the three-game series at Citi Field.

The 29-year-old Ethier was scratched from the starting lineup for the first time this season on Wednesday because of an inflamed left elbow. He's batting .387 during his current streak.

Ethier can become the 44th major leaguer since 1900 with a 30-game hitting streak Friday night, and close within one game of the Dodgers record, set by Willie Davis in 1969.
