Chino Walk Aims To Raise Mental Health Awareness

CHINO (CBS) — The Jason Tennies Memorial Foundation will hold its first Chino Valley Walk for Mental Health on Saturday.

The walk aims to raise awareness and funding for research into mental disorders, and to help erase the stigma associated with mental illness.

The Foundation was formed in memory of 20-year-old Jason Tennies who was struck by a car on Sept. 25, 2010 after a severe schizophrenic break. Tennies has no history of mental illness at the time of the accident.

The Chino Valley Walk For Mental Health will be held at Ayala Park, 14225 Central Ave., from 10 a.m. – 3p.m.

Online registration is available here.
