Officials ID Pedestrian Killed By Car In Bell Gardens

BELL GARDENS (CBS) — Authorities have identified a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Bell Gardens.

Aurelia Arciniega, 47, died at a hospital shortly after being struck in the 6300 block of Florence Avenue at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the coroner's office said.

The motorist stopped at the scene and was interviewed by police, but was not arrested, Bell Gardens police Sgt. Keith Ivany said.

The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
