EL SERENO (CBS) — A police chase lead to a brief standoff outside of a home in El Sereno Tuesday morning.

Officials said the chase started in Boyle Heights around 8:30 a.m. and eventually led police through the San Gabriel Valley. The suspect, driving a stolen white car, was seen throwing objects out of the vehicle throughout the chase.

The pursuit ended and a standoff began around 9 a.m. outside of a home El Sereno. Authorities said the home is not connected to the suspect.

After determining the driver was unarmed, police shot out the vehicle’s windows and arrested him. No officers were injured.

    lol i lived there when i was in 6th and 7th grade in the 70’s. i sang “One Tin Soldier” at my elementary school graduation. it was a normal town in those days, i wonder what it like now.
