Man Taken Into Custody After His Former Wife Is Found Dead

COSTA MESA (CBS) — A 32-year-old woman and her father were found shot to death in a home in Costa Mesa Tuesday and the woman's former husband was taken into custody at the home.

Police received a call just before 6 p.m. about a shooting in the 3400 block of Santa Clara Circle.   Police say the 36-year-old man, whose name was not released, had been involved in a custody dispute with the woman for their 7-year-old daughter. The girl was inside the home.  The newborn was inside the car.

Police also seized a semi-automatic handgun which they believe was used in the shootings.
