Blood On Car Bumper Dead Giveaway For Hit-And-Run Suspect
LANCASTER (CBS) — A 50-year-old man was fatally struck by a suspected drunken driver, who police later nabbed at a checkpoint after noticing blood on his car's bumper.
Police detained 25-year-old Isidro Peralta, of Littlerock, after deputies at a drunken driving and license checkpoint noticed his Ford Mustang had blood on the bumper and a shattered windshield.
Officers later found Curley Junior Ross's body on 10th Street West near Avenue J-8 and booked Peralta on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and felony driving under the influence, deputies said.
