Woman’s Body Found On 210 Freeway Off-Ramp

LA CRESCENTA (CBS) — Homicide detectives are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body near the La Crescenta Avenue off-ramp of the Foothill (210) Freeway, says Deputy Mark Pope of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau.

The victim was apparently dumped at the location, according to reports from the scene. Officials said the woman had been shot.

Police say a suspect, found several miles from where the body was discovered just after 5 p.m. Friday, was taken into custody after he attempted suicide.

The woman was declared dead at the scene, according to Pope.

The suspect was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to police sources.

I think they mean the southbound lanes of the 2 or the westbound lanes of the 210; the 2 is north-south and the 210 is east-west.

I was on the freeway and saw them covering her earlier this evening. Horrible sight to see, my heart goes out to her and her loved ones. There are some sick people out there

The man who allegedly pushed the body of a dead woman out of his car off the westbound 210 Freeway in La Crescenta today is in the hospital after apparently suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies have taken over the investigation of apparent homicide, which motorists reported shortly before 5:45 p.m. today, although Glendale police were the first to respond.

The man, who was driving a black Honda, allegedly dumped the body at the La Crescenta Avenue offramp from the westbound 210 Freeway, but was stopped by Glendale police on the southbound Glendale (2) Freeway near the Mountain Avenue offramp.

He was transported to the hospital after police discovered he was suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police sources.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Erick Kim confirmed that a shooting occurred, but that the investigation into how it happened would likely last well into the night.

Investigators were interviewing motorists who pulled over after witnessing the shooting, and traffic remained backed up on the 210 Freeway with the right lane closed for the crime scene.

I have to head down that part of the freeway to get home ater 11pm tonight, wonder if it will be cleared up by then…..

Just passed by there. The off-ramp is still blocked off but the freeway is clear.

THIS clearly stated SHES DEAD otherwise HOMICIDE would not be on the case

That was my aunt she had been shot by her cousin because there relationship wasnt so good she had a 6 month old baby and its just so sad because she was young.
