Man Convicted Of Attempted Break-In Of Paris Hilton's Home

VAN NUYS (CBS) — A 32-year-old Redlands man has been convicted of trying to break into Paris Hilton's Los Angeles home last summer.

The Van Nuys Superior Court jury deliberated less than an hour before finding Nathan Lee Parada, 32, guilty of one count of attempted first-degree residential burglary.

Parada will be sentenced on June 29. He faces up to three years in prison.

He was arrested about 6:30 a.m. last Aug. 24 by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Division, after Hilton called police to report that someone was outside her home.

The heiress wrote on her Twitter page that she "just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes (sic). Cops are here arresting him."
