PANORAMA CITY (CBS) — Police shot and wounded a suspect in Panorama City after he threatened them with a gun.

Police responded to an apartment complex in the 8500 block of Cedros Ave. on a shots fired call around 11 p.m. Wednesday night. When they arrived, authorities were unable to locate the suspect. He later returned to the scene around midnight with a gun.

Officials say the man pointed the semi-automatic handgun at officers. Authorities shot the suspect in the stomach when he would not put his weapon down, according to officials.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Okay John Wayne, lay off the movies for your critical thinking..Head shots are if not the most difficult to do especially when confronted with an escalating deadly situation. Unless your standing less than five feet from someone good luck. I am a firearms expert and you my friend dont have a clue !!!
