McCourt: What Selig Has Done Is Un-American
LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) --Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt met with Major League Baseball executives New York on Wednesday to learn that his proposal with FOX was vetoed immediately after the meeting.
"We had a productive conversation at a staff level and talked everything through in detail," McCourt told a NY-based KCAL 9 crew. "The commissioner who was not present at the meeting…apparently there was a call from him afterwards where he once again vetoed the deal….and I am very disappointed! Baseball is our national past time, it's America's game. America is about rights, value and what the commissioner has done is Un-American."

According to McCourt the deal involved a contribution to the Dodgers of nearly $300M immediately.
MLB seized control of the Dodgers last week, only days after the Los Angeles Times reported McCourt had arranged a $30 million loan from Fox to meet payroll. Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig cited his concern about the team's finances and operations as the reason for his decision.
