MIAMI (AP) — Andre Ethier has extended his major-league record for the longest April hitting streak to 24 games.

The Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder singled in the fourth inning Wednesday against Florida. His hitting streak is a career best and the longest by a Dodgers since Paul Lo Duca hit in 25 consecutive games in 2003.

Ethier has a hit in every game since going 0 for 4 in the second game of the season April 1.
