Sheriff Investigating 'Suspicious' Death Of Lancaster Infant
LANCASTER (CBS) — A 4-month-old girl died Tuesday under "suspicious" circumstances at a residence in the Lancaster area, the sheriff's department reported.
The child was discovered dead about 6:30 a.m. in the 8800 block of West Avenue D-10, said sheriff's Sgt. Michael Thomas of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
According to the preliminary investigation, the death was listed as "suspicious," Thomas said, but did not elaborate.
Authorities withheld the child's name, pending notification of next-of- kin.
