Distressed Dolphin In Long Beach Found Dead

LONG BEACH (CBS) — A dolphin was found dead in Long Beach after reports of the distressed mammal swimming in circles Saturday morning.

Authorties said they noticed a dolphin in distress in the Bahia Marina of Long Beach.

The dolphin had reportedly been swimming in the marina for a few hours before it eventually died.

Per policy, Marina officials do not disturb the natural habitat of free swimming animals due to the potential danger that could pose to the animal.

The dolphin was transported to the Marine Mammal Rescue Center in San Pedro so they could run tests to see what was the cause of death.
