LOS ANGELES (CBS) — President Obama left Los Angeles International Airport Friday morning after a 19-hour fundraising trip.
The president attended two separate fundraisers Thursday night, which may have earned him as much as $4 million for his reelection campaign.
Supporters paid up to $37,000 to have dinner with him at Tavern restaurant in Brentwood.
The president also attended a fundraiser at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City and told a crowd that he supports a combination of budget cuts and higher taxes on the rich to offset the federal deficit.
“Two and a half years later, the economy is growing again,” he said. “Two and a half years later, we’re creating jobs again.”
