Deputy To Receive $900K In Sexual Harassment Suit
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy who claims his boss sexually harassed him will be paid $900,000.
The Los Angeles Times says the county Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to settle a lawsuit by Deputy Robert Lyznick.
Lyznick's suit claimed that Sgt. Charles Dery harassed him for about a year and threatened violence if he reported him.
Dery resigned from the Sheriff's Department in 2008 after an internal affairs probe was launched but he tells the Times that the allegations were fabricated.
