Gusty Winds Expected Across Southern California Monday

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Windy weather is moving into Southern California.

The National Weather Service has issued an urgent weather message noting that gusty winds are possible in the Los Angeles County mountains and foothills, as well as the Antelope Valley.

The strongest wind gusts will occur in the foothills, including portions of Highways 14 and 138, according to the weather statement.

Drivers of high-profile vehicles have been urged to use caution. Visibility may also be reduced from blowing sand.

Wind gusts could reach upward of 50 miles an hour.
