SAN JACINTO (CBS) — A cache of old dynamite was discovered in an abandoned house in San Jacinto and was safely removed and disposed of, Riverside County sheriff’s deputies said Saturday.
At around noon on Friday, a person told dispatchers he was cleaning out the abandoned house when he found the cache of “1940′s vintage dynamite,” sheriff’s Sgt. Joey Nardone said.
Deputies removed the dynamite from the residence, in the 300 block of Main Street, and “disposed of it in a safe manner,” he said.
