Alabama Edges UCLA To Win Gymnastics Team Title

-- Alabama won the team title Saturday at the NCAA women's gymnastics championships.

The Crimson Tide (197.65) edged defending national champion UCLA (197.375) for first place in the event at Cleveland State's Wolstein Center.

It was Alabama's fifth crown and its first since 2002. Geralen Stack-Eaton (39.475) was the top individual scorer for the Crimson Tide, who are coached by Sarah Patterson.

Oklahoma (197.25), Nebraska (196.725), Utah (196.5) and Michigan (196.425) rounded out the six-team field.
