Missing Downey Man Described As 'Depressed, Possibly Suicidal'

DOWNEY (CBS) — Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 55-year-old Downey man who has been as described as depressed and possibly suicidal.

Richard Prisbrey, who is married and has three children, was last seen leaving his job in El Monte Wednesday morning, Downey police Sgt. Brian Baker said.

"The police investigation has led detectives to believe he is suffering from depression, could be suicidal, and is possibly armed with a handgun," Baker said.

Prisbrey is white, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 165 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He is believed to be driving a gold 1999 Toyota Camry, with license plate number 6CMX614.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts was asked to call Downey police at (562) 904-2308.
