Giants’ Tim Lincecum Donates $25K To Bryan Stow Fund

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Giants ace Tim Lincecum is giving $25,000 to assist the longtime San Francisco fan who was attacked outside Dodger Stadium last month.

The two-time NL Cy Young Award winner’s donation will go to the Bryan Stow Fund to help with the 42-year old paramedic’s medical bills and other expenses. The father of two was beaten in a parking lot outside Dodger Stadium after the teams’ March 31 season opener and remains hospitalized in Los Angeles in a medically induced coma. No arrests have been made despite a $150,000 reward.

The Giants raised nearly $70,000 for the Stow fund, partnering with his employer, American Medical Response, to gather donations at AT&T Park on Monday for the Dodgers-Giants series opener. The total includes a $10,000 donation from the team.

and mccourt is asking for donations instead of giving some of his own money. He sure aint using it to sign any players. For a team who has the highest attendance and have the 14th highest payroll is just ashame. its not like were getting in for free, wheres all that money. L.A baseball deserves better.

Great job! Where are ALL the other ball players….these guys make millions every year and they cant come up with enough to money cover ALL his expenses and college funds for his kids and therapy for the family etc etc..And McCourt …just a shame. If ball players didnt have any fans they wouldn’t have any money..Im disappointed but not shocked over their actions..:( I am however hopeful some one will “step up to the plate”

Dodgers organization should be paying ALL of his expenses. This would not have happened if they had stepped up security BEFORE someone got seriously injured. I have no respect for the Dodgers anymore, they lost a fan with the potential to spend $$$ at their games. I am only one of many, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it, McCord!

Lets hope the LAPD presence at Dodger Stadium will deter the few??? ( 1 out of 50 equvalent to 600 per 30,000 fans) latino savages from rasing hell again. Rest assured , there will still be violent incidents involving mexican suspects there. Thats a given. Too many of the gang element in 1 place. Alots of these animals will fight cops at the drop of a hat, especially if they are in front of their homeboys or cholita old ladys who urge em on to fight. The AZteca savage is very territorial. With all the violent incidents in the southland involving Mexicans in the last two weeks, they are really making a name for themselves as in DISGRACE!
