Police Hunt For Gunman In Hemet 'Juice it Up' Robbery

HEMET (CBS) — Authorities Wednesday said an armed robber made away with an undisclosed amount of cash from a smoothie shop in Hemet.

The suspect described as a Hispanic male in his mid-20s held up a Juice it Up store in the 1200 block of N. State Street in Hemet about 7 p.m. Tuesday, sheriff's Sgt. Stephen Mike said.

"The suspect entered the business with a black bandana partially obscuring his face, brandishing a black, semi-automatic handgun and ordered the lone employee into the back room," Mike said.

The employee was not hurt and no customers were at the store during the robbery, Mike said.

Mike said the suspect was believed to be 5'10, weighing between 145 to 175 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black T-shirt, white shorts and had long white socks pulled up to his knees.
