Catherine Zeta-Jones Treated For Bipolar Disorder

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones is seeking treatment for bipolar disorder, her publicist said Wednesday.

Zeta-Jones' husband, 66-year-old actor Michael Douglas, was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer last year. In January, Douglas announced that he is cancer-free.

"After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check into a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar II Disorder," her publicist Cece Yorke said. "She's feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films."

Zeta-Jones, 41, reportedly checked out of an unidentified facility after just five days.
