2 Injured When Car Plows Into Reseda Building

RESEDA (CBS) — Two people were injured Wednesday when a vehicle plowed into a commercial building in Reseda.

The accident, which took place in the 18300 block of Sherman Way, happened at 10:34 a.m., according to authorities. The pair was transported to a hospital, but the extent of their injuries was unclear.

Given how no other vehicle was involved when the car drove into the building, it is highly possible that the accident was because of the driver’s own error. Either the driver was distracted or impaired at the time of the accident unless the less likely scenario of vehicle defect is the reason for the crash. If the former, the driver may be held liable for damages by the owner of the building but if the accident was caused by a motor vehicle defect, then the manufacturer may be held liable.
