2 Children, Mother Critically Injured In Crash Near Pacoima

PACOIMA (AP) — Authorities say six people were hurt, three critically, in a crash on the eastbound 118 Freeway near Pacoima.

Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says the collision Sunday involved two vehicles on the eastbound 118 Freeway near Pacoima.

Humphrey says a one-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy, believed to be brother and sister, and a 26-year-old woman believed to be their mother were critically injured.

A man, a woman and a teenage boy in another vehicle were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries.

One of the vehicles, a pickup truck, was overturned in lanes.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada said initial reports were that the pickup truck hit a stalled car.
