PACOIMA (AP) — Authorities say six people were hurt, three critically, in a crash on the eastbound 118 Freeway near Pacoima.

Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says the collision Sunday involved two vehicles on the eastbound 118 Freeway near Pacoima.

Humphrey says a one-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy, believed to be brother and sister, and a 26-year-old woman believed to be their mother were critically injured.

A man, a woman and a teenage boy in another vehicle were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries.

One of the vehicles, a pickup truck, was overturned in lanes.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada said initial reports were that the pickup truck hit a stalled car.

        @ Wally and Saber

They write a Spanish name and they’re automatically illegal?

  3. Wally Wharton says:

Hey, Rich Mexican MD– FYI: No mention of ANY name– Spanish or otherwise. (Not very observant, are you? Glad you’re not MY doctor!!) However, by the very nature of the incident I could easily ascertain ethnicity. Go ahead– prove me wrong.
