LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police Saturday said one person was shot and killed in a Boyle Heights backyard.

The shooting, which took place in the 3900 block of Tampico, occurred about 10:45 p.m. Friday, Los Angeles police Sgt. Michael Morisseau of Hollenbeck Station said.

It was unclear what led to the incident.

The victim’s name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
