BRENTWOOD (CBS) —  A man was injured Friday when the vehicle he was driving went down an embankment in Brentwood Glen, a city fire official said.

The crash was reported at 3:46 p.m. at 100 S. Barrington Place, said Cecil Manresa of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“The vehicle went about 40 feet down the embankment near the football field at Brentwood School,” Manresa said. “We had one patient extricated from the vehicle. He was transported to a hospital.”

The extent of his injuries was not immediately available.

The accident occurred near a school football field.
