Motorist Shot On Freeway In Compton

COMPTON (CBS) —  A motorist was shot in an arm Thursday on the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway in Compton.

The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. near Alondra Boulevard, said Lt. Holly Francisco of the sheriff's Compton Station.

"We don't expect it to be life-threatening," Francisco said.

The victim continued driving after the shooting, ending up on the Artesia (91) Freeway near Long Beach Boulevard, Francisco said.

Police did not establish a motive for the attack.

No arrests were made.
