Facebook To Open Up Technology Behind Its Servers
PALO ALTO (AP) — Facebook says it will share the technology behind the servers that power its massive online social network.
The company wants to share the specifications and design documents to help others build startups more easily.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the company's "Open Compute Project" at a news event Thursday at the company's Palo Alto, Calif., headquarters.
