LOS ANGELES (AP) — Two new series are coming to Showtime, one starring Claire Danes and the other Don Cheadle.
Danes’ series, “Homeland,” is described as a psychological thriller about a CIA officer trying to unravel a suspected terrorist plot. The cast includes Damian Lewis (“Band of Brothers”) and Mandy Patinkin.
“House of Lies,” a half-hour comedy set in the world of management consultants, stars Cheadle as a schemer who does anything to win. Kristin Bell (“Veronica Mars”) co-stars as a sharp Ivy League grad who works with him.
Showtime said Thursday that it has ordered 12 episodes of each series, with production starting this summer. Air dates were not announced.
