LOS ANGELES (CBS) — An office building whose tenants include attorney/activist Gloria Allred was evacuated Tuesday after a suspicious device was found, but police could not confirm she was the target.
A bomb scare was triggered at 12:30 p.m. at the Miracle Mile-area building in the 6000 block of Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Norma Eisenman said.
A Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad determined by 3:30 p.m. that the bottle contained some sort of “sugar based liquid” and “no explosive substance,” Eisenman said.
A person answering the telephone at Allred’s office declined comment when asked if the suspicious package was directed at the office.
