Police: Male Teacher Gave Boy Drugs, Requested Genitalia Photos

SAN BERNARDINO (CBS/AP) — A Rialto teacher is in jail on Friday after police say he offered drugs to a male student and asked for him to provide nude photographs.

San Bernardino County sheriff's spokeswoman Cindy Bachman says 32-year-old Michael Jacob Edmondson was arrested Wednesday afternoon at Rialto's Frisbie Middle School.

He was booked for investigation of possession child sex photographs and giving drugs to a minor.

He's in jail with bail set at $100,000.

Investigators tell the San Bernardino Sun the eighth-grade teacher gave narcotics to a high school student and asked the teenager to send him photos of his genitals.

The type of drugs hasn't been released.

Rialto police Lt. Randy DeAnda says the alleged incidents occurred in the community of Highland and deputies are handling the investigation.

A search warrant was served at Edmondson's Rancho Cucamonga home.
