Wildomar Mayor Claims Bail Bondsmen Attacked Her Home, Family
RIVERSIDE (AP) — The mayor of Wildomar claims bail bondsmen forced their way into her home, broke her grandson's nose and Tasered her daughter.
Sheriff's officials are seeking battery and trespassing charges against Fausto Atilano and Bryan Stark but neither man has been arrested.
Atilano says he was the one attacked.
The Riverside Press-Enterprise says the men went to the home of Wildomar Mayor Marsha Swanson on Monday to look for a woman who was dating Swanson's grandson.
Erica Lynch was arrested last month on suspicion of receiving stolen property and the bail company had revoked her bond.
But sheriff's Lt. Mathieu Burden says Lynch wasn't a fugitive and the bondsmen had no right to enter the home.
They took Lynch away to jail after a fight.
